What will you do?

Scenario: A guy who had been worked in a firm for over twenty years, he had pretty good salary income and he paid a lot of taxes in the past. he has a house, a car and some saving in the bank. One day, he lost his job while the economy collapse, he is qualify for EI, if you were him, will you claim for it?

NO! Although he lost his job, he still has some saving to spend, no worry in his living while many people suffer from hunger. And the government doesn't have enough for everybody. The purpose of paying taxes is to support our government, our country. When our country suffer a tough time, we should understand and let our government use the resource to those who need the most.

YES! Although he doesn't need the money, doesn't mean he shouldn't. Where is the government money come from? its from the taxes he had been paid in the past pay-cheques. Secondly, why he will have a better pay job than other at the first place, because he work hard in school, at work and his life. Why he is responsible to others irresponsible of their life. That's so not fair. If he doesn't claim for it, will he receive some kind of award or trophy to appreciate his kindness and thoughtful of the country?
